Bengals QB Joe Burrow Carted Off Field After Suffering Calf Injury At Practice

Cincinnati Bengals fans could be forgiven for having a rough Thursday . Their star quarterback Joe Burrow went down during a training camp drill and had to be carted off the field with many fearing the worst another serious injury that would have ruled out the franchise player .

QB Joe Burrow Suffer Calf Strain :

Cincinnati Bengals Quarterback Joe Burrow suffered from a Calf Strain during a practice on Thursday and will go further testing . Burrow was carted off the field at the Paycor Stadium facility and head coach Zac Taylor .During an 11on 11 drill Burrow pumped left and scrambled right when he came up hobbled . clearly favoring his right leg as he skipped on his left leg before going down on the practice .

Burrow , a Pro Bowler who led the Bengals to a Super Bowl berth in the 2021 season , suffered a season ending left ACL tear during the 2020 rookie year . Burrow who entered camp in 2021 rehabbing a knee injury and had an Appendectomy at the onset of last year ‘s camp

Burrow threw his first career passing touchdown completing 37 of them for 316 yards and three touchdown which broke the NFL record for most completions by a rookie quarter back in a single game .

In a week 7 game against the browns , Burrow had 406 passing touchdowns one rushing touchdown and one interception in a 37-34 loss . He became the first rookie in NFL history with at least 400 passing yards three passing touchdowns and a rushing touchdown in a single game . and had completed four more passes (221) than any other player in NFL history .

In 2021:

On September 6 , the Bengals confirmed Burrow had completed his rehab and would start week 1 . Burrow returned from his injury and helped lead the Bengals to a 2-1 start . In week 4 , Burrow completed 25 of 32 passes for 348 yards and two touchdowns in 24-21 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars .

Against the Baltimore Ravens in week 16 Burrow completed 37 of 46 passes , threw for a career high 525 yards while also throwing four touchdowns without an interception for a career high 143-2 passer rating in the 41 -21 win. Burrow 525 yards were the fourth most passing yards in a game in NFL history .
